Hit and Run

What is up with people? I was driving to work Tuesday of this week, when I stopped at the Valley Forge rest area. I typically stop there for my latte, as i was leaving the rest stop a gentleman rushed past me and out the door. His truck was parked perpendicular behind my car. He jumped in his Ford Super duty and a rushed off. I didn't think to much of it, until I sat down and another gentleman tapped on the window and asked if i knew i was just hit. I got out and looked at the rear of my car and sure enough, 1500 $ in damage. Now I am out my deducible, and this jack ass got off scott free. I think people like the ass that hit me are the lowest form of life, and represent what is wrong with this country. No one takes responsibility or are accountable for their actions. It is a world where everyone is living for themselves, and fear reprisals. I mean accidents happen, the guy was in a work truck, and I'm sure he had insurance. Why wouldn't he stop? At least leave a note with his info. I guess this confirms one observation that I have... People suck. T

We were hit while getting onto the turnpike at Bedford. Basically a guy in a white work van tried to run us off the road. He was supposed to merge into our lane. I left the gate first (not even knowing he was in the other gate) and was accelerating to the underpass where the 2 lanes merged.

I look in my side mirror and there's this van. I didn't feel him hit me, so I just sped up. I looked back and saw he was a grungy looking guy (probably a bit bigger than me too). I just wanted to get away from him. I got off at Breezewood and pulled into a gas station. I got out and sure enough the guy had scraped up my side bumper with his tire and fender. I was able to buff most of it out, but there's some sizable paint spots missing.

I feel like an idiot for not slowing down and getting his tag information. It explains why he slowed down. He probably saw that he damaged my Ridgeline.
